Pastry Chef and Owner Danielle Nettleton didn't always know her passion was in the kitchen. After graduating from Bucknell University, she pursued a career in Human Resources and Outdoor Education in Telluride, Colorado. After a couple of years of great skiing and outdoor living, she realized her roots were back East and she set out to find her true passion. After a year of resumes and interviews, she sent an email on a whim to an ad for a "night time baker." Some may have cringed at the thought of a midnight shift, but Danielle realized this was her calling. After a year of experience on the Cape and at the landmark Versailles Patisserie in Connecticut, she traveled to Paris, France to train at infamous Le Cordon Bleu. In France she worked alongside some of the best talent in the world. During her time outside of the classroom, she gained valuable production experience working for a company supplying the vast majority of restaurants and hotels with pastries. In 2013, she returned to work in pastry kitchens on Cape Cod and Nantucket. While being trained in classic French Pastry, she believes in staying true to her American roots and creating pastries every foodie can enjoy. Danielle lives in Brewster with her larger than life Newfoundland, Tuckernuck.
